It depends. We need members, obviously, but I don't really know how to get more members. I guess word-of-mouth will work moderately well, but we need another way. Does being affiliates to other websites help at all with bringing in members?

I'm guessing just get members from other forums. Not like advertise it on a forum, I mean just post a link in your sig or something. Or if you have friends on other forums that don't go on here yet, maybe invite them over. I'll start seeing who I can bring.

@OceanBlue: yeah it does cuz theres always a possibility someone will see the link but most ppl come to sites to get tings once they got them they leave dont even look at the affiliates or what else the site/forum can offer.

I think what you could do is ask members what kind of content they would like to see on the site and then line up people to produce the content.

For example:
I would love to see a section for Vectors, I have just started learning how to vector but it would be great to have a place to get help with them or find tutorials for how to do certain things.

Keep in mind it would have to be expansive tutorials either. A lot of time tutorials fail because a person tries to show too much or too many things. They for instance try to show how they vectored a complete image. Heck it took you like 7 hours to do it break it up into steps. That way you can be more detailed in the individual steps as well. Don’t just tell me to apply a filter, speak to what the filter does.

Simply showing how to outline a vector
Then come back later with how you choose the colors for the vector
How you added filters or textures
How to use the darn pen tool in Illustrator (PS seems easier to me…yes yes I know I am wrong but still)

Just an idea (I am willing to help as well)

I thought so too... we only have few people evn submitting a renders and i doubt renders x_x but it wont hurt to try? we can't provide vector section though... it will go through the graphic?

If your planning on making this a GFX community I would suggest That you come up with a better way of manageing stuff. Create teams like you have here to deal with each section of the site. saves on time and effort of The site admin's time

I would also like to suggest That maybe later on down the road when you guys get active you can make a very nice section for Tutorials on the website instead of on the forums. its up to the 4 girls what really happens here all this is just suggestions :P

we have a better way of mangaing our GFX stuff and i can assure you of that, as you can see in our main site. and we already have those teams your saying plus we dont need much since we already have mods around and smod going all around the forum. we concentrate on the gfx team more as seeing their work is being previewed in the allianora designz main.

we already have tutorial in the min website... its where everything started... we just added some in our forum.

I mean some websites enable their members to download animes or mangas ( AnimeSuki), others osts (obviously AOST) and so on...
